Never thought the internationalism of soccer and the sense of national pride it brings could be portrayed in a three minute ad but then this came along:

I pretty much consider this our version of jerking.

Any movie directed by Nolan and starring Leo AND Marion Cotillard is a movie I can’t wait to see:

Warner Bros. Synopsis:

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible – inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.

There’s some sort of glass platform floating in the water right? Right!?

Jersey Shore might be over but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep pumping fists. New York VJ Jordan Laws’ Jersey Shore inspired edit of the Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up” is sure to do just that.

If Oceanic Flight 815 had left Long Island and landed on the Jersey Shore I think it would have gone something like this.

The Ableton-Serato partnership has been all the buzz since it was announced back in October of 2008. The two behemoths of the DJ scene are expected to unveil their collaborative efforts tomorrow at the NAMM conference but Rane couldn’t let the eve of the event go by without tweeting a sneak peak to stir up some more speculation. Simply Serato’s DVS inside of Ableton or something more?

As pointed out by Skratchworx, If you look closely enough it looks like Ableton is able to track the fader movements… do I smell independent channel recording?

Newly launched music-video portal Vevo.com has launched a new series entitled “These are the Breaks.” In the first video of the series, Jazzy Jeff talks about what inspires him and what got him into the art of DJing. Check it:
